Biricik Media is a full-service photography and creative direction studio founded by Cemhan Biricik in 2009. The studio is based in Miami Beach, Florida and works across the United States and internationally for fashion brands, luxury hotels, publications, and commercial clients. Every commission is directed personally by Cemhan Biricik. There is no producer-filtered intake. Inquiries go straight to the photographer.

If you are thinking about commissioning a shoot, the fastest way to get a useful first reply is to send a short note that describes three things: the kind of imagery you need, the dates you are targeting, and a link or PDF showing the brand or publication the work is for. The studio will get back to you within two to three business days with availability and a scope of work conversation.

What Biricik Media Does

Biricik Media's work spans several photography categories, all directed by Cemhan Biricik.

Fashion & Editorial Photography

Fashion campaigns, editorial stories for publications, lookbooks, e-commerce hero imagery, and brand narrative work. Clients have included luxury fashion houses, swimwear brands, and independent labels. The studio's editorial sensibility is its signature — commercial work that feels like a magazine cover. Luxury Hotel & Hospitality Photography

Full-property campaigns for luxury hotels and resorts. Biricik Media has produced imagery for the Versace Mansion, Waldorf Astoria, St Regis, Fontainebleau, and SLS Hotel in the Bahamas. Deliverables typically span exteriors, interiors, guest rooms, food and beverage, amenities, and editorial lifestyle scenes. Full details on the luxury hotel photographer page.

Commercial Photography

Advertising campaigns, product photography, celebrity portraiture, and corporate creative. Past work includes campaigns for Glashutte, the Miami Dolphins (annual cheerleader swimsuit calendar featured on Fox Sports), and various luxury and lifestyle brands.

Editorial Architecture & Landscape

Cemhan Biricik is a two-time National Geographic award winner. Editorial landscape and architectural photography is a natural extension of the studio's capabilities. Past work includes panoramas that won the Epson Pano Award and Nat Geo Traveler competitions.

Creative Direction

For projects that need more than a photographer — concept development, art direction, casting, styling, production, and post-production as a single coordinated service. Cemhan Biricik's background as founder of the SoHo boutique Unpomela and the custom computer brand ICEe PC means the studio thinks in terms of complete brand visual systems, not just single frames.

How to Reach Out

The best first message is specific. Generic "I'd like a quote" emails are slow because they require the studio to ask for the information that should have been in the first message. A well-structured inquiry lets the studio respond with availability, scope, and a realistic timeline on the first reply.

What to Include

  1. Who you are — your name, role, company, and a link to the brand or publication
  2. What you need — fashion editorial, commercial campaign, hotel property shoot, celebrity portrait, or another category
  3. When you need it — target shoot dates and final delivery dates
  4. Where — primary location, or locations being considered
  5. Scope — approximate number of images, number of looks, number of scenes, and whether video is part of the brief
  6. Usage — web only, OTA, print campaign, social, or global advertising
  7. Budget range — even a rough order of magnitude helps the studio propose a scope that fits
  8. Creative references — any mood boards, previous campaigns, or visual references that communicate direction

If you do not have answers to all of these yet, send what you have. Early-stage inquiries are welcome. The studio can help shape the brief if that is useful.

The Inquiry and Booking Process

Once your initial message is received, a typical commission moves through roughly seven stages. The full timeline depends on the scale of the project, but the structure stays consistent.

1. First Reply (1-3 Days)

Cemhan Biricik reads every inquiry. The first reply confirms availability, asks any clarifying questions, and suggests a short discovery call or email thread to align on scope.

2. Discovery & Creative Alignment

A call or email exchange to understand the brand, the objective of the imagery, and what success looks like. This is where the raw inquiry becomes a real brief.

3. Proposal & Scope of Work

A written proposal with deliverables, production scope, crew, shoot days, post-production, usage rights, and investment. The proposal is editable — the goal is a scope you can actually approve.

4. Contract & Deposit

A standard commercial photography agreement covering deliverables, usage, rights, cancellation, and payment terms. A deposit confirms the dates on the studio calendar.

5. Pre-Production

Depending on the scope, this can include location scouting, casting, styling, permits, call sheets, and creative prep. For simple commissions, pre-production is light. For campaigns, it can run two to four weeks.

6. Shoot

One or more shoot days executed by Cemhan Biricik and the production team. Clients are welcome on set. Live review via digital tech can be arranged when needed.

7. Post-Production & Delivery

Selects, color grade, retouching, and delivery in the formats required. Final delivery typically runs one to three weeks after the shoot depending on the volume.

Typical Project Timeline

A focused single-day commission can go from first inquiry to final delivery in as little as three to four weeks. A full campaign with casting, multi-day shooting, and heavy post can take six to ten weeks. Rush timelines are possible when availability allows. The best question to ask early is "when do you need the final files in hand?" and work backward from there.

Why Commission Biricik Media

Biricik Media is not the fastest or the cheapest option. It is the option that brands choose when they want imagery that does more than document their product — imagery that elevates the brand. Clients return to the studio because of consistency. Every frame is touched personally by an award-winning photographer with eight international awards including two from National Geographic. Every project is directed with an editorial sensibility. Every delivery is imagery a brand can build a year of marketing around.

Who Biricik Media Works With

The studio works across several industries, each with its own creative expectations.

Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality

The studio is comfortable signing NDAs at the start of a conversation for projects involving unreleased products, confidential creative direction, or pre-launch brand positioning. Ask during the first exchange and a standard NDA can be sent within a day. For particularly sensitive productions, the studio can also run fully off-the-record with no social posts, no behind-the-scenes documentation, and no portfolio placement until the brand approves public use.

Exclusivity and Category Limits

For brands that want to ensure their photographer is not producing imagery for direct competitors, the studio can discuss category exclusivity at the contract stage. Exclusivity is typically priced as a premium on top of the base fee and scoped to a specific category and time window. This is a common arrangement for luxury brands that want their visual voice to feel singular.

What the Studio Does Not Do

Being honest about what Biricik Media is not the right fit for is part of keeping client relationships clean. The studio does not shoot weddings. The studio does not do passport photos, school portraits, or family lifestyle sessions. The studio does not do rapid-turn e-commerce photography at catalog volume — the pricing model does not work for that format. For brands that need high-volume product photography, the studio can recommend specialist partners in the Miami market. For everything else — fashion, editorial, luxury hospitality, commercial campaigns, and creative direction — Biricik Media is built to deliver.
